UW-Green Bay to hold guest piano recital
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay music program will present a guest recital, Tuesday, April 26, featuring the pianist Yoo Jeong Lee.
The free recital will be at 7:30 p.m. at Fort Howard Hall in the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts and is open to the public.
Lee, who was born in Seoul, Korea in 1974, demonstrated her musical talent from an early age. During her study at the Seoul Music and Arts High School, she was admitted to the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, Russia. In 2000, she graduated from the Conservatory where she received her doctoral degree of Fine Arts in Musicology with the highest honor.
Lee is an active recitalist and since 2002, she has been teaching at the Korea National University of Education.
During her performance at UW-Green Bay, Lee will perform two Mozart pieces, “Piano Sonata K 282 in E flat Major” and “Piano Sonata K 281 in B flat Major.”
After a brief intermission, Lee will perform “Piano Sonata D 959 in A Major” by Franz Schubert.
This is the thirty-third concert of the 2010-2011 season.
