UW-Green Bay Danceworks to host ‘A Concert of Dance’

GREEN BAY — The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is hosting a Danceworks performance this weekend at the University Theater in Theater Hall, 2420 Nicolet Drive. The performance is free and open to the public.

The shows will feature a variety of styles, from contemporary to jazz to tap dance.
The first two shows are at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, March 28, with a third one at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29.

The performance, titled “A Concert of Dance,” is a UW-Green Bay student production produced by the Danceworks and Alternate Theatre student organizations and the Theatre program. Danceworks is a student dance organization whose primary goal is to promote, produce and fund Danceworks each spring semester.

Artistic Director Denise Carlson-Gardner and Instructor Marc Kotz are the primary choreographers. UW-Green Bay dance students also choreographed several of the selections and include Amanda Polzer, Tenley Hitz, Megan Burki, Kristie Hass, Jessica Sutton, Trevor Baxter, Claire Carroll, Tonya Schuster and Carissa Pappas.

Prof. Jeff Entwistle, theatre faculty, is the lighting designer.
