UW-Green Bay holding art program open house
GREEN BAY — The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is opening its doors next week Wednesday, March 4, for an art open house.
UW-Green Bay art faculty and students majoring or minoring in the arts invite the campus community, the public and any and all prospective students and their parents to visit campus for a first-hand look at what the University has to offer undergraduates seeking degrees in Studio Art, Design Arts, Arts Management and Art Education.
The free public event is from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors should enter the Studio Arts building and follow the signs to the cafeteria area.
Art students are leading tours of the art studios every half hour. The Studio Arts and Theatre Hall buildings will be open for self-guided tours.
Art students will be on hand to give technical demonstrations in all nine of the studio areas, including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, graphic design, sculpture, textiles, jewelry/metals and ceramics.
Faculty members can answer questions and student groups will be there to share information about opportunities for on-campus extracurricular activities in arts.
Light refreshments and a drawing for door prizes are also part of the open house.
Parking is free for the open house in the Studio Arts parking lot on campus, 2420 Nicolet Drive. Campus maps can be downloaded at: www.uwgb.edu/maps/.
