UW-Green Bay celebrates employees’ service anniversaries
GREEN BAY — University of Wisconsin-Green Bay recognized 46 faculty and staff members for their extended years of service to UW-Green Bay at the mid-year convocation event Wednesday morning (Jan. 21).
Two distinguished faculty members—Prof. Kumar Kangayappan, Urban and Regional Studies; and Prof. Ganga Nair, Natural and Applied Sciences—lead the list with 40 years of service. Both have been with UW-Green Bay since its inception in 1968.
UW-Green Bay recognized those with 40, 35, 30, 25, 20 and 10 years of service to the University.
“It is the everyday efforts of our students, faculty and staff that make UW-Green Bay a very special place,” Chancellor David Ward said. “Every day, incredible things happen in classrooms and laboratories, on performance stages, and playing fields and courts, all across campus, day-in and day-out. It is in those places and at those times that our committed faculty and staff are doing so much to create a bright future for our students, our region, and the state of Wisconsin.”
