Transcript: It means a lot to me to be a First Generation student, and my family is definitely proud. It was it was a long journey and it’s been it’s totally it’s totally been worth it. And I’m super excited to be here. And I’m so glad be a First Generation. It means a lot. It’s definitely an inspiration and admiration to a lot of the members in my household. And also it just provides, more opportunities for me on the job field. Also, my mom was also a returning adult student to UWGB. So, carrying on the family legacy at this point. Been a real honor being a student and now graduating. Yes it is. This is a very proud moment, a milestone because as being the first one, I’m representing my entire family and, it’s just honor. I’m super excited to do this and all the hard work will pay off, as we will see tonight. So I’m super excited. My mom has been working her whole life. She never really got the opportunity to go to school. She didn’t even graduate high school, and she had to come here and learn how to provide from her family. And I just want to be able to give back, do what she can for her family. And I want to be able to do that for mine. I want to be able to look at her and have her be happy for the things that I have accomplished. I woke up today and I was like, how is this real? I felt like I was just graduating high school. Like, how did this time fly by so, so fast and just reflecting on everything. It’s just I’m very proud of myself and everything that I’ve put into my academics and building myself. I found that if I just was everyday in the moment, just I got this, I got this. Eventually, here I am, four years later, ready to graduate. So just kind of not focusing on how long I’m going to be here and just the memories that I’ve made along the way. The thing I’m most excited for is just finding the perfect opportunity where I can blend the skills that I’ve learned here. In campus and my passions, and just blend them into a perfect career. I’m proud to be a Phoenix because I don’t think I would have had this experience anywhere else. I really like that because I was able to build relationships with the professors, and it was a lot more impactful. The professors go out of their way to help you, and I’m very thankful for that. We have an awesome campus and community life where everyone is supporting you, the student body, the professors, they’re just all there and they want to see you succeed. It’s a great feeling. Because this is what made it happen, right? Being a Phoenix is. What did the magic. I think that this school is very magical.
