For two years, UW-Green Bay participated in an Ascendium DASH grant that was able to award emergency funds to students in need to help cover non-academic expenses and allow them to continue with their education. The grant was very successful, but it unfortunately came to an end this summer.
Campus has been working to develop an emergency grant for UWGB. The logistics of managing the grant have taken some time to figure out, but that process is now in place, and the Provost was able to provide some money to support the grant. For more information on the Emergency Grant, please visit the Phoenix Cares Emergency Grant web page.
If you know of a student who may benefit from the emergency grant, now or in the future, please encourage them to apply for the grant. Please note that there are different procedures depending on the student’s home campus. Students on the Green Bay campus may submit inquiries about the grant to firstname.lastname@example.org. Students on the Marinette, Manitowoc, or Sheboygan campuses (which still have access to the Ascendium grant) should submit applications through the link on the Phoenix Cares Emergency Grant web page.
