Former Phoenix coaches also enjoy success


FYI… Former Phoenix coach Kevin Borseth is enjoying his best start with the Michigan Wolverines, at 9-2, including wins over Florida, Utah and Marquette. Former men’s coach Tod Kowalczyk, now at Toledo, is rebuilding the Rockets program with the same roadmap he used in Green Bay. After going 4-28 his first season, the team which features former UW-Green Bay student athletes Rian Pearson, Reese Holiday and Matt Smith now stands at 6-3 including three wins at the Edinburg, Texas, tournament, highlighted by triumphs over USC-Upstate, Texas-Pan American and Victory (Tenn.) University.
