UW-Green Bay shares story of emergency Jott usage

University Webmaster Paula Ganyard shared the University’s “Jott story” with Jott, a company that helps people keep organized through text and e-mail notifications. Ganyard integrated the service with the campus’s emergency website at http://emergency.uwgb.edu She set up a system that allows an authorized administrator to post a message via Jott to the emergency website in the event of a computer outage on campus. The system transcribes a spoken phone message to be displayed on the emergency website within seconds. See the “Paula G.” entry.
