Passing of Rick Riehl, Class of ’70

Only three months after his joyous class reunion at Shorewood, only two months after he was diagnosed with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, and only one month since this newsletter included a link to the tragic yet touching story of his illness, Rick Riehl has passed away. Riehl, one of 78 members of UW-Green Bay’s original, June 1970 graduating class, died Sunday at a hospice in the city of West Bend, where he had been a revered and influential teacher and coach.
