Reilly, UW System chancellors ask Ryan to end sequestration

UW System President Kevin Reilly, along with the chancellors of the 14 UW campuses, have signed a letter to Rep. Paul Ryan, asking him to use his position as House of Representatives Budget Committee chairman to end sequestration. Legislators are trying to reach a deal on the federal budget before Dec. 14. “The decline in public support is chipping away at the infrastructure that supports academic research in Wisconsin and is having a material impact on jobs,” the UW System letter said.
