A call for MLK Day essay entries from K-12 students
The 21st Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration Committee invites submissions to its annual poster, essay, poetry competition. The contest is open to all students enrolled in a Brown County institution of higher education, as well as all school-age children (K-12) living or attending school in Brown County. Entries must reflect the Celebration’s theme, which is “My Dream for My Community.” The first place prize is an iPad mini. The event will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to noon in the Student Center of Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. The event is free and open to the public. Winning and receiving the award are contingent on attending the event. Entry forms and submission instructions are available online.
