More high marks: UW-Green Bay athletes at top of class
UW-Green Bay is one of just eight colleges or universities with student-athletes named to the ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District 5 First Team from three different sports. Kaukauna’s Rochelle Meulemans, a senior setter on the women’s volleyball team, was recently named to the district first team with a 3.98 GPA as a biology major. Other Phoenix student-athletes making All-District 5 first teams are junior Ilya Ksenidi, a forward on the men’s soccer team; and Amanda Stinson, a junior defender on the women’s soccer team. The other schools to have honorees in each of the three sports include Army, Bucknell, Notre Dame, Penn State, Saint Louis, South Carolina and UAB. UW-Green Bay volleyball has now placed a member on the first team three straight years and in five of the last six seasons.
