Shorewood again claims state honors; staff recognized

Shorewood Golf Course was recognized by the Golf Course Owners of Wisconsin as the top nine-hole course for food and beverage and the top for maintenance and appearance in the state for 2009. It follows last year’s distinction by the same organization as the nine-hole course of the year. The awards dinner will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 17 at The Golf Club at Camelot in Lomira. Golf Course and University Union Director Rick Warpinski said the award brings individual attention to two excellent staff members — Sharon Van Lieshout, food and beverage manager for Shorewood since 2003, and Nathan Rusch, superintendent for Shorewood since 2005, as well as their excellent staff.
