Giving Back: Scholarship events celebrate donors, students
Scholarships make a tremendous difference… in the lives of the students who earn them and the universities able to offer them. Two recent events held at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay — one a fundraiser and one a donor-and-student reception — recognized those who generously support UW-Green Bay. The annual Chancellor’s Scholarship Dinner was held on the Weidner Center stage in early October. The annual event is a community fundraiser for the Chancellor’s Scholarship Fund. Two weeks later, the Chancellor’s Named Scholarship Reception, held in the Weidner’s Grand Foyer, was a chance for scholarship recipients and their families to recognize and show appreciation to their specific donors.
