Passing of Marlene Buettner, former staff member

A visitation at 4 p.m. and a memorial service at 7 p.m. are planned Monday (Oct. 21) for Marlene A. Buettner of Green Bay, who died earlier this week at age 73. The Malcore East Funeral Home website has a photograph and full obituary. Many UW-Green Bay retirees and veteran employees will remember Buettner as a co-worker. Her obit states, “Marlene was proud of the fact that she was the first full time female custodian at UW Green Bay retiring in 1992 after 20 years of faithful service.” She later served as a foster care provider.
