Clarification: Focus of Thursday vigil is anti-gay bullying
Students at UW-Green Bay are hoping to shed light on anti-gay bullying by holding a candlelight vigil to address the suicides of gay youth. The vigil is in response to high-profile events across the country, including the tragedy at Rutgers University where a gay student committed suicide. The vigil is scheduled for Thursday (Oct. 14) at 7:30 p.m. near the Weidner Memorial Carillon outside the University Union. The Sexuality and Gender Alliance, a student organization, is planning a short program, a processional around the residence halls and refreshments in the American Intercultural Center. Full details.
