Other items of interest vis-à-vis new ticketing arrangement

Covered in the news release (go to news release), but worth pointing out here as items of special interest to ticketbuyers at UW-Green Bay…

• The University Ticketing and Information Center in the Union will be the primary ticketing location, staffed every day of the week, from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and 10 to 10 on Saturdays and Sundays.

• A second campus outlet, the Weidner Center box office, had offered daytime hours since January, but will now return to holding operating hours only on performance dates at the facility, 90 minutes prior to curtain.

• Not all ticketed events at the University will be marketed using the Ticket Star option. It is expected that most performances in venues such as the University Theatre and the University Union’s Phoenix Room, along with student Music and Theatre performances at the Weidner, will continue to be handled solely via the on-campus outlets and at-the-door, night-of-event ticketing.

• Phoenix Athletics had a pre-existing affiliation with Ticket Star because the men’s team plays at a PMI venue, the Resch Center. The new contract adds women’s basketball, volleyball and men’s and women’s soccer to the Ticket Star service. This will be in addition to availability at the Kress box office operated by the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics.
