Coming up: ‘Maurice Sendak and the Queering of Children’s Literature’
The 2018-19 Speaker Series on the Sheboygan Campus will continue on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018 at 7 p.m. in the Wombat Room (Room 2114). UW-Green Bay Assistant Prof. Sam Watson (Arts and Design) will be presenting “Maurice Sendak and the Queering of Children’s Literature.” The presentation will cover how, in the 1960s, some of the biggest names in children’s literature were closeted gay men and women. The series is presented by the Campus Events Committee. This event is free and open to the public.
