In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Adriana McCleer, Ph.D., will speak Monday, Oct. 14, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. in the Christie Theatre. McCleer will share her personal and professional experience as an early-career Latina discovering the Library and Information Science profession that was only two percent Latinx in 2006. She will share her sources of inspiration that motivated her to pursue a master’s and doctoral program in her field and what sustained her through the programs to successfully earn an M.A. in Library Science and a Ph.D. in Information Studies.
