Story, photos: Adult Degree students attend Convocation kick-off

The second annual Adult Degree Convocation and Family Welcome was a definite success, welcoming 75 students, family and friends during a daylong event Saturday. Featuring tours, panels, breakout sessions and more, the welcome program is a chance to acclimate adult students with campus — even though many of them may not be back here anytime soon. This semester, 71 percent of nontraditional students (age 25 or older) are taking a least one distance-education course, according to the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment. Fifty-four percent are taking all of their classes online. We’ve got more info and some great photos, here.
