UW-Green Bay hosts Big Data, Big Ideas speaker series

UW-Green Bay is working in partnership with leading experts to make available a speaker series that demonstrates how to utilize big data in creative and powerful ways. Data science encompasses the theoretical and practical application of ideas, and in the Big Data Big Ideas Speaker Series an exciting range will be presented.

September 15, 5-6 p.m. via Zoom

Caleb Waack, Data Scientist Epsilon – Python in “Harry Potter”

Caleb will share how you can use code to glean insights from the famous “Harry Potter” book series. With the lens of Python code, you will gain a data-inspired perspective on the happenings at Hogwarts, the Forbidden Forest and more.

The Big Data Big Ideas Speakers Series is a proactive collaboration between UW-Madison, Extended Campus and UW-Green Bay’s Austin E. Cofrin School of Business and the Division of Continuing Education and Community Engagement, collectively offering a master’s degree program in data science, a graduate certificate in data science and a noncredit undergraduate or graduate certificate in data science.
