Ahoy! Cofrin Library offers prime viewing as Tall Ships sail into town
The eighth floor of the Cofrin Library offered a bird’s eye view of approaching Tall Ships Thursday (Aug. 15) afternoon, as the vessels came sailing in for the three-day Baylake Bank Tall Ships Festival at Green Bay’s Leicht Park. The event, which Green Bay also hosted in 2006 and 2010, features ship tours and day-sail excursions on nine tall ships in the heart of downtown Green Bay. Proving the old adage that “getting there is half the fun” (to watch, at least), the ships drew the attention of campus photogs and curious viewers alike. Just another plus of the University’s beautiful bayshore campus. Visit the Tall Ships Festival website for more info on the festivities.
