Revisiting Shorewood Golf Course history

In 1931 local golfers banded together to open the Shorewood golf club and engineer an 18-hole layout overlooking the bay. In the late 1960s the land was acquired by the state and the course was reduced to nine holes with the brand-new UW-Green Bay built on part of the site. The Facebook page for the UW-Green Bay Archives and Area Research Center contains a photo album about Shorewood Golf Course’s 80th anniversary next week. Fun stuff – click here.
