Fletcher going pro overseas

Congratulations are in order for former Phoenix basketball standout Rahmon Fletcher, who has signed a one-year contract to play pro ball with the Dutch Basketball League’s WCAA Giants. Fletcher is the fifth-leading scorer in program history, having amassed 1,678 career points, and ranks second in all-time steals, third in games played and fifth in assists, among other notable stats. Also going pro, as we told you Friday, are women’s b-ball stars Kayla Tetschlag and Celeste Hoewisch, who will play together in Belgium. As for Fletcher, he’s scheduled to leave for Europe next month, and said he hopes to catch this year’s Phoenix in action during his two-week December break. Check out the full story.
