Laatsch celebrates last day
Interim Provost and longtime UW-Green Bay faculty member Bill Laatsch spent his last official day on campus Friday, July 24.
Fittingly, the host of the Bill Laatsch Wine and Cheese Classic brought in two bags of fresh Door County cheese curds to share with his office mates. For years, Laatsch hosted the popular campus event.
Laatsch, who spent more than 40 years with UW-Green Bay, said he’s looking forward to retirement, something he postponed to come back and serve as interim provost since the departure of Sue Hammersmith. He plans to travel to the northeastern provinces of Canada for a long-awaited vacation.
Incoming Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Julia Wallace will start on Monday, July 27.
