Preliminary grant numbers

UW-Green Bay faculty and staff were extremely active during 2009-10 in pursuing extramural support for their research, scholarship, and service projects. Our helpful friends in the Institute for Research provide a final tally of 78 proposals requested and submitted, seeking $13,316,645 in grant funding from federal, state and private sponsors. These FY 10 numbers represent a 44 percent increase in the number of proposals submitted and a 58 percent increase in total dollars requested compared to FY 09. Pending final confirmation, those proposals yielded a healthy “batting average” and a preliminary total of $4,652,789 in external funding for projects submitted by UW-Green Bay faculty and staff in FY 10.
