New Camp Lloyd video spotlights joy of campers, counselors

We told you last week about the media coverage on Camp Lloyd, a summer camp at UW-Green Bay for children who have lost a loved one. This year, more than 30 children took part in the five-day camp. Robert Hornacek put together a video on the camp, and both the participants and their college-age mentors rave about the experience. See video.

Chancellor visits Camp Lloyd

On Friday, UW-Green Bay Chancellor Thomas Harden stopped by Camp Lloyd. He praised the organizers and UW-Green Bay students for helping the children deal with the loss of loved ones. Chancellor Harden was on hand for the camp’s closing ceremony, which included a short program for families, a balloon release and tree planting. Check out a photo gallery.
