This year, 104 high school artists are taking part in the summer art camp at UW-Green Bay. The students are each focusing on one form of art for an entire week. The areas of study include Multi-Media Figure Drawing (Sara Tlachac, instructor), Fashion Design (Corey Linsmeyer, instructor), Ceramics (Dean Hoegger, instructor), Photography (Jenna Bigott, instructor), Acrylic Painting (Arda Ishkanian, instructor), Metals and Jewelry (Erica Becker, instructor), Self-Portrait Painting (Leah Lindsley, instructor) and Video Game Design (Tom Wallestad, instructor).
The students attending the camp this year are from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, and Missouri. The camp directors are Sandra Shackelford (photojournalist and artist) and Carrie Fonder (teacher and sculptor).
The public is invited to attend the art show on Friday, June 25 from 3-4 p.m. in the Lawton Gallery on the UW-Green Bay campus.
