Luke is Phoenix women’s third 2011-12 recruit

UIC’s loss is the Phoenix women’s gain as Oak Creek’s Ashley Luke has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at UW-Green Bay. Luke recently was granted a release from her previous commitment to the University of Illinois-Chicago after the team fired its coach, the Green Bay Press-Gazette reported earlier this week. The 6-foot center joins Wausau Newman forward Taylor Thomas and Maple Grove (Minn.) guard Ellen Edison as the third recruit for the team’s 2011-12 class.
