Remembering Stuart L. Stiles
Longtime friend and advocate Stuart L. Stiles passed away Monday at age 93. He was the longest-serving board member (29 years and counting) with the UW-Green Bay Founders Association and a former board president (1985-87). He will be remembered this Friday (May 29) with a noon visitation and 2 p.m. funeral service at First United Methodist Church. The retired president and CEO of Morley-Murphy Co., Stiles served on the boards of Bellin Memorial Hospital and the local Salvation Army in addition to his volunteer and philanthropic work on behalf of UW-Green Bay. He and his wife, Nancy, were leadership donors to the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts, and Mrs. Stiles headed the seat donor drive. Stu Stiles received the University’s highest community honor, the Chancellor’s Award, in 1986. There will be a full obituary in Thursday’s Green Bay Press-Gazette.
