Carillon-area dedication remembers Doris Madigan
In a small, private celebration on May 12, the Madigan family and University friends remembered Doris Madigan with the dedication of two benches in her memory near the Weidner Carillon outside the University Union. A dedication plate reads, “In loving memory of Doris M. Madigan ’78 and ’83. Friend and avid supporter of UW-Green Bay. 1925-2009.” Doris and her husband, Jim, worked to establish the Ecumenical Center and were long active on the UW-Green Bay Board of Visitors and with the Founders Association. The family founded Feeco International and encouraged partnership with University researchers, students and alumni. Doris Madigan earned a bachelor’s in Social Change and Development with honors, and later completed her master’s in Environmental Arts and Sciences.
