Winners of Art Merit Scholarship Competition announced
The winners of the Art Discipline’s recent Art Merit Scholarship Competition were announced at the opening of Senior Show II in the Lawton Gallery Saturday, April 29, 2017. The Art faculty evaluated five examples of each participant’s art work to award $21,000 in scholarship money. Evaluation criteria included formal quality, technical mastery, conceptual depth, integration, context and consistency. The recipients:
- Katherine Bauer and Amanda Weisman – David L. Damkoehler Art Scholarship
- Andrea Cornett, Jonathan Nuncio-Macdonald, Nicholas Padalino and Meghan Schmitz – Hagemeister Family Art Scholarship
- Brianna Fischer and Nathan Nichols – Teresa M. Halbach Scholarship
- Hannah Miller – Anna Kacynski Memorial Scholarship
- Kenna Rentmeester – Michael Kazar Memorial Scholarship
- Lydia Delikat – Althea Steele Lederer
- Lydia Delikat, Trent Graubner, Heather Schroeder and Nicolette Wallman – Craig A. Mueller Scholarship
- Jenna Plyer – William F. Prevetti Scholarship
- Dane Schumacher – Bob and Jan Pum Scholarship
