Operations taking extra steps in light of flu concerns
Noticing some stronger smells around campus? It’s ok. It’s probably the scent of commercial disinfectant. Because of the worldwide spread of Influenza A H1N1, campus operations staffers are paying special attention to cleaning the more commonly touched areas, such as doorknobs, faucets, light switches and water fountains. They were already cleaning campus “touch points,” but a little extra spritz here and an extra wipe there will go a long way to preventing any germ transmission. If you see custodial staff around campus, make sure to say “thanks” for their efforts to go the extra mile and help keep everyone on campus as healthy and germ free as can be.
