UW-Green Bay’s Lindmark fires course-record 63 at Royal Scot
Congratulations to one Mr. William (Bill) Lindmark, UW-Green Bay Class of 1981 and a familiar member of the Phoenix family. On Wednesday of this week (April 18), Lindmark set the course record at Royal Scot Golf Course, shooting a 63. His round consisted of seven birdies, an eagle and 10 pars on the par-72 layout. He had a 30 on the front nine. The friend who provided us this report tell us Lindmark missed two makeable birdie putts on holes 17 and 18 or he would have gone even lower. Lindmark does double-duty for UW-Green Bay as the clubhouse manager and PGA professional at Shorewood Golf Course, and he also serves as the Division I Men’s Golf Coach. He owns the course record at Shorewood, having shot 29 on two different occasions, and a couple of other local records as well. We’re going to track him down for a future feature story on his golf exploits, and maybe even some pointers. Congratulations!
