Gurung wins OPID grant to extend ‘lesson study’ work

Prof. Regan A. R. Gurung, Human Development and psychology, was recently informed he has received a $15,168 Undergraduate Teaching and Learning Enhancement grant from the UW System Office of Professional and Instructional Development (OPID). The grant, obtained in collaboration with Bill Cerbin of UW-La Crosse, will help fund lesson study projects focused around interdisciplinary topics such as improving student writing and ways to improve critical thinking. Funds will be made available to fund multi-person teams of three to four members to develop ways to advance the University’s select mission by focusing on teaching/learning challenges that span across departments.
