Phoenix women No. 1 in turnover margin

The Green Bay women’s basketball team, which traditionally prides itself on defense, has finished the 2011-12 season ranked No. 1 in the nation in Turnover Margin (9.45) among all NCAA Division I programs. The Phoenix forced its opponents to turn the ball over an average of 25.2 times per contest. Additionally, the final NCAA statistics show that UW-Green Bay finished third in won-lost percentage (93.9), fourth in steals per game (12.9), sixth in scoring margin (19.2), seventh in assists per game (17.6) and 10th in field-goal percentage (45.3).
