Foot note: Wojta tearing it up in Belgian pro league, until…

Julie Wojta, a 2012 Accounting grad who made second team All-America as a senior with the Phoenix, was having her best professional season through March. Wojta averaged roughly 15 points and 10 rebounds per game to lead her Belfius Namur team to a 20-2 season record and second overall seed in the Belgian professional women’s basketball playoffs. Namur cruised through the playoff quarterfinals but was upset by Waregem Sunday in the first game of a semifinal series. An account of the game said Wojta played only a few minutes before leaving with a foot injury. Read more about the Belgian women’s pro hoops news.
