UW-Green Bay shows well in stats and RPI, too

With the 2011 women’s basketball national champion crowned (Texas A&M), the NCAA released its final statistical rankings. UW-Green Bay (34-2) finished in the top three in four categories including second in both won-lost percentage and assists per game and third in both turnover margin and free-throw percentage. Overall, the Phoenix finished in the top 25 in 11 of the 18 national statistical categories.

In the final NCAA RPI rankings of the season, the Phoenix finished 20th. They rated much higher (10th) in the Sagarin ratings, which places greater weight on performance in away games. Both computer rankings are Green Bay’s highest of the season.
