Fantastique! Students land French gigs, teaching English
If you see students Julie Bayard or Abby Hendzel, feel free to congratulate them on their achievement. The two UW-Green Bay seniors have received English Teaching Assistant Awards from the French Government to teach English in France for 2011-2012. While it’s not the first time students here have won the award, Prof. E. Nicole Meyer (Humanistic Studies, Women’s and Gender Studies) says it’s the first time we have nominated two candidates (and, of course, the first time in recent memory we’ve had two winners), a noteworthy accomplishment for a relatively small school and French program.
