Faculty, staff, cross-country athletes star in campus/community race

Runners from the Phoenix women’s cross-country team posted fast times in the recent Dick Lytie Spring Classic Half-Marathon, held on campus March 28. Students Kendelle Krause and Callie Bartel finished first and third in the women’s division, with Krause staging an amazing kick in the last 50 yards to win by a step, in a time of 1 hour, 33 minutes even for the 13-mile race. Ironwoman Prof. Patricia Terry finished sixth overall among the women and second in her age group, at 1:40:17. Kelly Franz finished third in his age group on the men’s side, at 1:34:41, a hop-skip-and-a-jump (actually, quite a few) ahead of Bill Lepley, another UW-Green Bay participant. See results.
