‘Look Ahead Lakers’ follows Phuture Phoenix model

Silver Lake College in Manitowoc held its first Look Ahead Lakers Day, on March 24, welcoming about 150 local fifth-graders to get a peek at college life.

Silver Lake College is the third school to replicate UW-Green Bay’s award-winning Phuture Phoenix program, which introduces higher education to children from low-income families.

UW-Green Bay representatives worked closely with Silver Lake staff to make the first campus tour a success.
