The passing of UW System’s Renee A. Meyers

Many on campus are mourning the passing Friday in Madison of Renee Meyers, a longtime UW-Milwaukee faculty member who coordinated UW System initiatives involving SoTL, the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. She fell victim to cancer at only 58. With UW-Green Bay’s commitment to excellence in teaching, Meyer collaborated with numerous faculty members here on a variety of Systemwide projects. Comments UW-Green Bay Prof. E. Nicole Meyer, a friend, “She was a gifted scholar and teacher who inspired, collaborated with and supported so many of us on this campus.  She had the warmest smile and shared it always.” A memorial service is likely for the weekend of March 31. We’ll share information as it becomes available.
