Sykes joins Big Ten stars on all-district team

In the midst of one of the best seasons in Phoenix men’s basketball history, junior guard Keifer Sykes (20.3 ppg, 4.9 apg, 4.4 rpg) earned another prestigious honor on Tuesday when he was named to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association All-District V Team, selected from among the 48 Division I teams in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Along with Sykes, the 10-member honors team includes Sean Kilpatrick, Cincinnati; Yogi Ferrell, Indiana; Caris LeVert and Nik Stauskas, Michigan; Gary Harris and Adreian Payne, Michigan State; Aaron Craft, Ohio State; and Sam Dekker and Frank Kaminsky, Wisconsin.
