UW-Green Bay students receive ADDY Awards
Three UW-Green Bay graphic communication students were awarded Northeast Wisconsin ADDY Awards from the Fox River Ad Club.
Kristine Gay received a silver student ADDY Award for her design and illustration of a poster/brochure for African Youth Peace and Development. This was an assignment given to the Graphic Design Studio II students in fall 2008 as part of the UW-Green Bay Common Theme project, “Waging War, Waging Peace.” All of the posters from this project are currently posted on the third floor of the Studio Arts Building.
Jenna Gravitter received a silver student ADDY Award for her design and illustration of an Audi TT automobile sales brochure. Gravitter received a second silver student ADDY Award for her design and illustration of restaurant graphic identity (identity mark, logotype, card and stationary and envelope) and collateral pieces (menu, newspaper ad, coasters, take out box and bag) for a restaurant called The Little Owl.
Chelsea Brittnacher won a silver student ADDY for “Beauty in Negative Spaces.” Her poster was computer designed and was created as part of the “Waging War, Waging Peace” Common Theme.
The ADDYs recognize excellence in advertising throughout Northeastern Wisconsin, the second largest market in the state. Winners at the local level advance to the district level, and then to the national level.
