Apocalyptic alumnus artist Kox is in the news

The surrealist, apocalyptic oil paintings of Norbert Kox, a 1990 art graduate of UW-Green Bay, are once again in the news. Kox has been notified by the Museum of Wisconsin Art, West Bend, that on May 20 he will be among those presented with the Wisconsin Visual Art Lifetime Achievement Award. Kox continues to exhibit widely. His work is represented in the exhibit “Heaven+Hell” through June 30 in Chicago sponsored jointly by the Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art and the Loyola University Museum of Art, and in a current show at La Luz de Jesus Gallery, Los Angeles.
