Schafer has another big day, tweet-wise
UW-Green Bay student Nellie Schafer continues to rack up the entertaining messages, photos and video clips at the @UWpowersMe Twitter account. She began Tuesday’s installment of her UW System guest-tweeting stint with an appearance on live local TV (albeit disguised as the Phoenix mascot) and followed that with some exciting classroom action, dissecting owl droppings. Oh, by the way, she’s also wearing a Nellie-cam on her head, capturing the day in photos every 30 seconds. See more.
Nellie, students to practice the Harlem Shake
The aforementioned Nellie Schafer will also be present at about 5:30 Wednesday (Feb. 20) when a good crowd of UW-Green Bay students get together to practice and film a Phoenix version of the highly popular “Harlem Shake” dance. There’s talk of a follow-up flash mob later in the week. Practice Wednesday will be in the “bowl” over at the Kress Events Center. Actually, faculty, staff, high-ranking administrators – they’ll take anybody – are welcome to join the students. The students have a Facebook page on this, at https://www.facebook.com/events/507527185964493/.
