Afghan filmmaker here for International Women’s Day, classroom visits

Sahraa Karimi, filmmaker from Kabul, Afghanistan, will be at UW-Green Bay, March 4-11, as a special guest marking International Women’s Day, March 8. The Office of International Education, Student Life, and Women’s and Gender Studies are sponsoring Karimi’s visit. Her latest film, Afghan Women Behind the Wheel, will be shown several different times on campus during that week. Faculty members who are interested in having her come to their classes can contact Prof. Sarah Meredith Livingston, who is planning the itinerary for her stay.
