Prof. Dutch explains an unusual earthquake
Earthquakes aren’t common in the Upper Midwest, so there was a natural stirring when a magnitude 3.8 earthquake occurred early Wednesday (Feb. 10) near the Wisconsin-Illinois border. WBAY-TV (Channel 2) turned to UW-Green Bay Prof. Steven Dutch of Natural and Applied Sciences to explain this tremor, which caused no major injury or damage. Dutch also talked about the potential for a more serious earthquake. Here’s a link to the story and video.
