Be advised: Wis-172 construction will cause disruption

The state DOT is being pro-active in warning commuters and travelers that the construction work on Highway 172, the five-mile stretch connecting I-43 to US 41, is about to begin in earnest. Major lane and off-ramp closures, with periodic traffic backups, are expected. (For those UW-Green Bay programs that draw visitors from outside the area, it could be worth monitoring, in order to advise travelers to take alternate routes, if need be.)
