The five recipients of the UW System’s first-ever Regent Scholar awards will be honored Feb. 5 during the Board of Regents meeting in Madison. The Regent Scholar program was introduced last fall to recognize and reward innovative faculty-student research and to provide support for collaborative UW project initiatives with Wisconsin business and industry. Its first awardees are as follows: Jennifer Dahl, UW-Eau Claire; Heather Schenck, UW-La Crosse; Junhong Chen, UW-Milwaukee; Tim Lyden, UW-River Falls; and Christopher Hartleb, UW-Stevens Point. Each recipient earns a grant, ranging from $36,706 to $50,000, for his or her work. Read more.
